Atomic Technical Institute (ATI) Accreditation Update

Atomic Technical Institute (ATI) is proud to be a licensed vocational school in Washington State through the Washington State Training Board (WTB). This recognition reflects the Board's careful review of our training programs, instructors, and academic standards before certification is granted.

ATI is also proud to partner with Columbia Southern University. Through this partnership, ATI students may be eligible to receive up to 48 semester credit hours for qualifying programs. Our President and lead professor, Dr. Paul Nims, also serves as a full-time professor and doctoral chair at CSU.

As of April 9, 2026, ATI also achieved reciprocity certification through the Department of Energy's National Training Center (NTC) on select programs. In practice, qualifying ATI radiological-worker and safety training is built to a standard recognized at participating DOE sites across the country. ATI is one of several organizations nationwide to hold NTC reciprocity; final qualification and site access are always determined by the hiring contractor and the individual site.
